Looking to further your training? Then look no further. The Meadville-Western Crawford County Chamber of Commerce is ready to host it's 6th Class for Leadership Meadville and applications are now being accepted through July 1, 2015.
The MISSION of Leadership Meadville: To identify and develop current and future leaders through a comprehensive program designed to increase knowledge and awareness of the issues and challenges facing this community.
Our VISION is to be a highly valued and respected program recognized for the quality and diversity of its members, who remain committed to improving our region through ongoing education, awareness, and involvement.
Leadership is often the difference between success and failure for businesses, organizations and communities. Leadership Meadville was created for leadership skill development and asset discovery by engaging class participants with the leaders of various business sectors in our area.
As part of the application process, interviews will take place in July and August. Class 6 of Leadership Meadville will begin with Orientation day on Thursday, August 27, 2015.
A maximum of 18 individuals who live and/or work in Crawford County will come together on the second Friday of each month, September 2015 through May 2016, to develop their skills and learn how to apply their knowledge to the workplace and community.
We continue to improve the program based on participant feedback, making Leadership Meadville even more relevant and applicable. We are proud of the leadership roles taken in the region by our five classes of graduates.
Please consider participation in the 2015-16 class and/or share this information with your employees or colleagues who you think might be interested.

Classic Car & Motorcycle Fest
FREE FAMILY FUN ENTERTAINMENT!
Come join us for the 7th Annual Thunder In The City Classic Car & Bike Show.
Get out your classic car, corvette or motorcycle and get ready to have some fun!
Friday night is filled with street dancing and music at the main stage from The Gray Hounds beginning at 6:00 pm. Bring your friends, lawn chairs and dancing shoes. New this year will be 2 great movies at The Academy Theatre. Friday night will be a showing of Wild Hogs and on Saturday morning families will want to see the animated Cars. Attendance to both movies is free with the donation of one canned good per person. The movies are sponsored by Armstrong Cable and Firehouse Tap & Grille.
Saturday you can enjoy the excitement of the Classic Cars as they line up around Diamond Park and hear the sounds of the motors as the Bikes and corvettes parade into Downtown Meadville.
While in the Diamond strolling around all of the Classic Cars, bring your kids to the Kidz Zone for fun on the inflatables. Food throughout the event will be provided by local restaurants and food vendors.

The 5th Annual Rusty Hanaway Bike Ride takes off at 12:30 from Street Track 'n Trail, immediately followed by the Community Chevrolet Corvette Parade. Hundreds of motorcycles and dozens of corvettes will make their way into downtown Meadville. Don't miss the roar of their engines during this unique parade!
Immediately following the Parade will be Channellock Challenge. Register your motorcycle in the competition under one of several categories. A People's Choice winner will also be chosen. Judging begins at 2:00 pm Saturday, with the winners announced and trophies presented at 4:00 on the band stage.
Stick around all day and enjoy great music on the stage downtown on Park Avenue. This year's Saturday lineup includes:
