TBA

Who: Non-Profit Leaders in any field (arts and culture, human services, education, etc)

Why: Meadville has several groups to get non-profits together in an effort to better serve a specific client base (human services, etc). We ask that you RSVP to be a part of this group

"EFFECTIVE PREPAREDNESS PROGRAMS

AND DISASTER RECOVERY PLANS
"

Business owners invest time, money and resources to get their ventures up and running, but many of them fail to properly plan for disasters. According to the Small Business Administration, an estimated 25 percent of businesses do not re-open after a major    incident. Having a functional disaster recovery plan will help owners keep their business operating.

Company leaders should have a general idea of how long it will take to restore data and the number of people needed to restore business functions. Before starting a disaster strategy, plan on attending to hear Clark give his recommendations.

Allen Clark, director of the Crawford County Office of Emergency Services, will be our guest speaker on this topic.  Clark has held this position for seven years earning the state’s highest level of certification, Professional, in EMA.  He oversees the county-wide and local capabilities to respond, recover, prepare for, mitigate, and prevent all types of disasters through planning, training, exercises, and equipment throughout Crawford County’s fifty-one municipalities.
